Artist Patty Sue O'Hair - Vicknair is a rare artist whose subject mater may not be everyones favorite, but for those who love clowns she ranks right up there with Ron Lee, Jim Howle and Red Skelton. Her clowns are always happy and if you look close enough you can see the sparkle in the clowns eye and a hint of mischief.
Patty chooses to paint in Acrylic and Watercolor. Choosing which medium to use is usually dictated by the photo she chooses to depict. Her Acrylics are big and joyful and will light up any room. For the Watercolor Clowns she has created a series she hopes to paint at least 75 clowns in the 9 X 12 size on Watercolor paper. Patty is selling these at a reasonable rate of only $200. each. Patty is on her 24th clown in the series and so far she has been accepted by the clown community. Her paintings have sold almost before they were done.
